Most of our systems need a password to keep things secure. When you start, the company gives you a temporary password. You will need to change it the first time you log in.
Every 90 days, the system asks you to update it again. If you have sensitive files, protect them with a password too.
Keeping Your Password Safe
Use a unique password for Michaels. Do not use the same one on other websites. Never share it with anyone. Anything done under your username is your responsibility. If you give out your password, you could face discipline, even termination.

Supervisor Rules
Your supervisor cannot ask for your password. They also cannot make you use a specific one or change it for you. If this happens, report it through the Open-Door Policy.
Creating a Strong Password
Pick something hard to guess. Do not use your name, company ID, or common words. Each new password should be very different from your old ones. A small change like swapping one letter or number is not enough. Make it strong, make it unique, and keep it safe.
